Description

The Bagatti Valsecchi Museum is known for its art collection, period furnishings and the historical setting of its rooms.

Located in a late Italian Renaissance style building, built between 1883 and 1885 by brothers Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi, two patrons and art collectors, with the intention of creating a home that embodied the elegance of the past. The Bagatti Museum houses a rich collection of works of art, including paintings, sculptures, period furniture, ceramics and decorative art objects from different eras, with a particular emphasis on the Italian Renaissance.

One of the museum’s distinctive features is the historical setting of its rooms. Each room is furnished and decorated in the style of various eras, providing visitors with the opportunity to travel through time and immerse themselves in the daily life of the Italian Renaissance aristocracy.

In addition to its permanent collection, the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum organizes temporary exhibitions ranging from art history to contemporary art as well as cultural events, conferences, workshops to promote understanding of art and culture.
